Everybody knows Rupert Everett (May, 1959) from playing Julia Roberts’ charming gay pal in the 1997 hit movie ‘My Best Friends Wedding,’ which can be seen as a turning point in his acting career, but Rupert has a lot more on his resume. He fought the rising dead in ‘Cemetery Man,’ done Oscar Wilde in ‘An Ideal Husband’ and ‘The Importance Of Being Earnest,’ a dithering Prince of Wales in ‘The Madness of King George,’ the evil Dr Claw in Inspector Gadget, and another charming gay buddy, this time Madonna’s, in ‘The Next Best Thing.’ Rupert has written two novels, ‘Hello Darling, Are You Working?’ and ‘The Hairdressers of St. Tropez,‘ and a screen play, ‘Martha and Arthur,’ about a closeted Hollywood star who marries another star to hide the truth. He also tried music, back in the 1980s, but his debut record ‘Generation of Loneliness’ didn't make him a rock star. That did not stop him however from singing the background vocals on Madonna’s hit cover ‘American Pie.’ This is just a small selection of Rupert’s impressive list of accomplishments. All together not too bad for a guy who started his career as an escort. And if that is not enough, Rupert Everett is also the first Hollywood movie star to have a long, mainstream, and successful acting career while being openly gay, and blasé about it. For that only he already deserves our respect.
This year Rupert can be seen on the big screen again in the movie ‘The Great Farrell,’ in which a great but painfully shy painter, Priam Farrell takes on the identity of his valet, Henry (Everett), to escape to a simpler life in the English countryside. Things take an unexpected turn when, painting as the simple valet, Priam is accused of forging the works of the great Farrell. And of course Rupert returns next year as Prince Charming in ‘Shrek The Third.’

That's a wonderful guy, who ever one need it... Any time
Be honest and sincerelly.
You make my dreams come true.
I'm shamed after all
